The Advantage of Integrated Print/Cut

The VersaCAMM VS-i Series inkjet printer/cutters streamline the production process by automatically contour cutting printed graphics as soon as they finish printing. By eliminating the need to reload and reposition graphics, VS-i integrated cutters save valuable time and effort, creating a great competitive advantage.

If lamination is required, Roland DG’s Quadralign system can automatically realign the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion.

Advanced Eight-Channel Print Head Technology

The VS-i Series features an advanced eight-channel Piezo inkjet print head channel in a gold-plated housing, specially engineered to ensure reliable, outstanding quality. With Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology and up to seven different droplet sizes available, the VS-i Series achieves remarkably smooth gradations and richer density for photographic and high-resolution vector output at resolutions of up to 1440x720dpi and print speeds of up to 25.9 sqm/hr.

Ink Options Offer Maximum Potential

ECO-SOL MAX ink available in CMYKLcLm plus specialty inks maximises your imaging possibilities with the VSi Series. Add value and sophistication to any graphic, and expand your potential for greater profits.

Specialty inks include:
Light Black - Provides better reproduction of gray colour gradients and more natural skin tones.
Metallic Silver - This silver ink can be printed as a spot colour or combined with CMYK to produce over 500 striking metallic and pearlescent colours.
High-Density White - Allows for greater opacity on clear or dark substrates

Automated Ink Circulation System

VS-i Series inkjets come as standard with Roland DG’s automated Ink Circulation System to prevent the pigments in metallic and white inks from settling. Designed to reduce waste of white and metallic ink, the circulation system dramatically lowers running costs while ensuring exceptional image quality throughout the longest production runs.

Front-Loading Ink Cartridge Loading System

The VS-i series’ easy-to-access front-loading ink cartridge system increases convenience and ease of use. Inks are packaged in convenient 500cc cartridges (White and Metallic available in 220cc cartridges only).

Advanced Media Handling

Each VS-i Series model features an advanced media handling system. The VS-640i allows users to feed rolls up to 40 Kg (88 lbs), while the VS-540i and VS-300i can handle rolls of up to 30 Kg (66 lbs) and 25 Kg (55 lbs.) respectively. Media flanges and seven pinch rollers providing accurate feeding and tracking throughout the longest production runs. Print head height is adjustable to accommodate variable media thicknesses.

To facilitate precision unattended printing, an optional TU2 take-up system is included with the 54 and 64 inch sizes, and includes a convenient front-mounted take-up roller and an advanced tension-controlled take-up unit for optimum media feed and tracking.

Chaque modèle VS-i est équipé d'un système de chauffage double étage intégré, conçu pour sécher les impressions rapidement, même dans les modes haute vitesse ; il autorise ainsi la finition, l'installation ou la collecte immédiates par le système d'enrouleur. Ce système sophistiqué fournit la quantité de chaleur appropriée pour chaque application, et mémorise les paramètres individuels directement dans l'imprimante. Pour les applications nécessitant davantage de chaleur, un dispositif de post-chauffage étendu est disponible en option.

Système de raclettes protégeant la tête d'impression

Le système de raclettes intégré réduit l'usure de la tête d'impression et prolonge sa durée de vie en évitant l'accumulation de résidus d'encre. La gamme VS-i associe des raclettes standard et des raclettes latérales supplémentaires, qui réduisent les problèmes d'entretien engendrés par les réservoirs d'encre et l'accumulation de poussière ; il est donc moins fréquent de procéder à un nettoyage manuel.

Print with Confidence, Even When You're Not There

Among the many benefits of owning an intelligent Roland inkjet is its ability to share information remotely. A Predictive Ink Calculator lets you see whether you'll have enough ink to run the print jobs you've posted to the queue. Roland OnSupport then sends an email to your computer or smart phone, notifying you when a job is completed or ink is running low.
